Located in Lavington, Hume Public School enjoys a close and supportive relationship with our families and the wider community.
Hume Public School aims to provide all of our children with an environment that excites, engages and stimulates learning. Hume enjoys great diversity with a preschool, Special Education and Early Intervention Unit and mainstream school making up our school community. With our school motto of "Progress through Endeavour" and our school mission statement of Every Child Every Chance Every Day, our school aims to cater for individual needs, interests and talents of each and every one of our fantastic students.
Hume Public is made up of a very dedicated staff. Our Teachers and Support Officers engage in ongoing professional learning and training to ensure our teaching and learning programs are engaging, innovative, and challenging. Students are well supported through significant in-class support and specialist teachers who are able to support individual needs.
Our school celebrates and encourages whole-school participation in academic, cultural, dance, technology and sporting activities. Our student welfare programs ensure the promotion of respect, empathy, tolerance and understanding of others as we encourage and celebrate individuality and achievement.
Hume Public is an active and proud member of the Northern Spirit Learning community made up of neighbouring schools, our local high school James Fallon and Charles Sturt University.
Hume Public is a very special place and we look forward to sharing our successes with you.
